Suitable for

Spine staples, specifically vertebral body stapling (VBS), are suitable for children with idiopathic scoliosis who are still growing and have curves that are less than 45 degrees.
The procedure is a non-fusion technique designed to slow growth on the convex side of the curve to allow the concave side to catch up, potentially preventing the need for a spinal fusion later on.
It is most effective for curves between 25 and 35 degrees and is intended for neurologically normal individuals.
