Suitable for
Dual mobility liners are primarily used in total hip arthroplasty (THA) to reduce the risk of dislocation, particularly in cases where patients are at higher risk of instability. They are a good option for revision surgery, where recurrent dislocation is a concern, and for primary THA in patients with certain risk factors. Dual mobility liners are a strong consideration for patients who have experienced multiple dislocations after previous hip replacements.

Description
  • The concept is based on two articulating surfaces where the internal head articulates with the liner and the liner with the metal shell.
  • Primary Articulation The small prosthesis head moves inside the liner until the neck of the stem impinges the liner.
  • Secondary Articulation The large polyethylen Liner moves freely inside the cup.
  • This movement only occurs in extreme movements.
